Are you looking for an alternative to smoking your marijuana? Try making your own cookies using cannabis butter. Follow the steps or leave comments if you have a better method. Like all edible marijuana, the quality of the marijuana dictates the potency.

  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 cup of Cannabis butter directions here >>
  • 1/2 cup of white sugar
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups of chocolate chips
  • 1 cup of finely chopped nuts (optional, replace with more chocolate chips if you don’t like nuts)

Step 1
Place your Cannabis butter into a bowl.

Step 2
Grab another small bowl and combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. In the bowl that has your cannabis butter, add the white sugar, and vanilla and mix.

Step 3
Now add one egg, beat until it is fully mixed, add the other egg and repeat. Continue to mix as you slowly add the flour mixture from the small bowl.

Step 4
When fully mixed, stir in the chocolate chips and nut mixture. If your dough mix is too dry and hard, add a small amount of water and mix until slightly sticky.

Step 5
Separate your dough mixture into five or six smaller balls of dough, and place them on a very lightly greased baking sheet. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.

Step 6
Place the baking tray into the oven and let it bake for around 10-12 minutes, or until they look cooked. They should be a golden brown color.

Step 7
Let your cookies fully cool, preferably on a wire rack. They are now ready to eat.

Digesting marijuana will not provide immediate effects like vaporizing or smoking. Eating or drinking medicinal marijuana takes effect approximately one half hour to one hour after ingesting. This can vary based on your weight, tolerance or dosage of the product. Learn the dosage of marijuana, your tolerance and source of edible marijuana that you use. It is also recommended to eat the medication on a light stomach (not on a full stomach) in order to fully digest the food/medicine in your body to realize the effects fully.

I made these but I used 2 1/2 cups of gluten free flour, 1/2 teaspoon of almond ext. and 1 cup of sugar. Baking for 11-12 min. I dropped by tablespoon or cereal spoon and was able to make 44 cookies. So I have plenty now to eat I used 4 grams of weed to make 1 cup of cannibutter. I ate one cookie and started feeling the effects within 20 min. On an empty stomach and I weigh 130 lbs. They are so good I want to eat another! Lol

I’m thinking I should try ur recipe. It sounds yummier. And 44 cookies makes more sense considering the cost involved. I weigh 150. Probably should use a bit more canna inna budder when I bake my first batch. I want to do this for my dear old friends in seattle when i visit them next year. Unfortunately i now live in the mid-atlantic region where the freedom to create fun food does not yet reign , Thankfully god created the internet.

I make these all the time πŸ™‚ I love them soooo much and make them all the time. I have a thyroid problem and was on medication for 17 years as of 4 years ago I started treating with what I call the miracle butter, and my thyroid is good and I have been pill free since !!!! One cookie a night not only keeps the doctor away but helps you sleep tight πŸ™‚ My miracle meds are MIRACLE BUZZ BUTTER πŸ™‚

I have hypothyroid and fibromyalgia. Never used marijuana but need better treatment than the doctor gives. How do you make the butter and how much do you take? Does it give you a high effect? Maybe something I could use at night. I know my post sounds silly but it your butter sounds better than synthroid and percocet.

Don’t be afraid of the calming effects you will experience with this wonderful plant. It has been villified for decades, probably because it is the FEMALE plant that makes you feel better. The male of the species makes good rope and durable clothing, however. Anyway, I suffer from anxiety and I find that taking a small dose of cannabis in cookie form as my first meal after I have had a glass of pure organic juice or a package of Rain “Soul” ( a remarkable free radical fighting concoction made from grape seeds that will really help boost your immune system) works best. If I were inclined to trust big pharma (which I am not) and took one of their chemical concoctions for my anxiety I would probably feel about the same, which is level and in a positive, happy frame of mind as well as being fully functional) BUT…. I would risk all kinds of malicious side effects because a human-engineered chemical concoction does not have the ability to heal the way MOTHER NATURE does! I would suggest you eat your preferred canna-confection or pot pastry on a morning when you are going to be staying at home doing normal daytime stuff. Don’t go driving or do errands the first time you try this, however. You need to get used to feeling better first. Believe me, it is very distracting at first to actually feel good. Then, when you have adjusted to feeling better you can do all your normal activities with far less pain and with a smile on your face. It really is a better way to live. Trust Mother Nature. She knows best and cannot be fooled.

How often do you eat these to keep your fibermyage pain away? I hurt from the time I get up to going to bed and even through the night. But I can not smoke it as my lungs are bad. Help

    Your opinion .

Mary Ann I’m asthmatic and cannot litterlly smoke pot however after trying many vaporizers (no smoke) you might want to look into a vaporizer, no smoke, harsdly smells I use a Pax2 (much better & easier than Pax1, look up Pax2 on comuter the makers of the Pax 1 & 2 is called Ploom, lots of info and the best thing that ever happened to me, if you buy cheap vaporizer you will hate it, also 10 year warrantee possible lifetime warrantee. if you decide to go the vaporizor route I would go no other way than a Pax2…Guarantee you’ll love it. Hi, I make this chocolate chip recipe all the time with regular margarine and get 6 dozen cookies, the amounts for the ingredients are the same. I cannot understand how you get only 5 or 6 cookies when using canna butter. Typo in the recipe???? Or cake size cookies??

  10. Avatar Anonymous says:

I just did this exact same recipe and got approximately 30 cookies about 3 inches across… I think you have a typo in your quantity made. Otherwise great recipe.

  12. Avatar Rg says:

    What about the brown sugar?

  13. Avatar mlime@tampabay.rr.com says:

It doesn’t say but I assume you put the brown sugar in with the white sugar.

These are by far the best tasting and baking marijuana chocolate chips! I have been trying so many recipes this hit it. I do add crushed pretzels . Love them thank you!

  15. Avatar Anna Cesnjevar says:

Once the chocolate chips are added, gently stir in the flower mixture from the first bowl into the second. It may take awhile, but continue mixing until you have decent looking and firm cookie dough.Remove the sheet from the oven when the cookies are a crisp golden brown and let them cool for approximately 10-15 minutes before removing from the sheet. The best cannabis recipes directly in your inbox.

I have used this recipe lots of times. So far it’s my favorite cookie recipe. I am able to make about 40 cookies using this recipe going by the recipe. I make tiny balls about the size of a big marble maybe a little bit bigger
