Society has witnessed the effect of parents who encouraged their children to start careers in the medical industry solely for the money, stability and opportunity. There is no vested interest in making people healthier, and when nobody cared about helping others anyways – the problem compounds. Many would object to this notion and consider themselves to be passionate health care workers. Are they right?
Lots of folks begin their career in law enforcement with passion and drive however the culture and reality of policing soon changes them, their attitudes and entire belief system.
There is little question that our system of justice has failed many in America, and that our current health care system is absolutely flawed. Remember when Obama revamped the whole thing (Obamacare)?
Both professions are valuable to any society. So how do we change both? Accepting the same status quo of ‘do nothing’ is unacceptable and not the course I envision. If you asked me, parents need to take bigger roles in guiding their children to their respective path, and early on. A career where they will excel personally and better society as a whole.
