In the above video we teach you how to make canna-butter, or simply marijuana infused butter that you can use in your favorite recipes.

The active ingredients in marijuana bond well with butter and other fats and oils. With that said make sure you are using ONLY real butter and never margarine.

  1. You will first start by grinding 3-4 grams of cannabis for every stick of butter. If you wanted to make 2 sticks or ½ pound of butter, you  would double the amount of marijuana and butter. If you plan on making food in the future it is wise to make a larger batch of butter now to avoid the future mess that we are about to make.
  2. Cannabis butter can be stored in your freezer for up to 2 months.
  3. Turn your stove to the lowest setting possible and melt your butter.
  4. Once your butter is fully melted, mix in your marijuana. Make sure you use a plastic spoon. Wooden spoons tend to soak up the active ingredients.
  5. Set your timer for 45 minutes. Be sure your butter never boils and you stir it every 10 minutes or more always keeping an eye on it. Should your butter get too hot, move it off the burner or to the side of it.
  6. When your timer goes off have a very-fine strainer or cheesecloth and a bowl or tub ready to strain the butter from the remaining plant material.
  7. Cover your bowl and place it in the refrigerator for about 4 hours.

You can now substitute your canna-butter with your favorite recipes.

Remember the effects of food made with cannabis take longer to kick in and often last longer than smoking.

    When I make the butter,why can’t I leave the weed in the butter if it is ground fine what does it hurt

      I also would like to know the answer to this question. Is there a best strain to use for baking cookies? Or for other uses? Thanks.

        There is no ideal strain, most food is baked with leftover trimmings. Never the best quality. You could leave the bud in the butter but it would give a bad taste to the food and add no additional health benefits.

    I am trying to find someone to buy cannibus from. What is the best way to go about finding someone? I’ve never gone to purchase any myself. I had my first THC infused cookie in Colorado where it is legal and now that I am back home in Mississippi I want to make my own butter. I cannot smoke it because it feels like I am going to cough my lungs out.
